Join us in evidence based yoga and meditation practices for Alzheimer’s Prevention and Brain Longevity. Although age, family history, and gender are non-modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline, there is hope! For example, your diet, activity level and social interactions can decrease your risk. Come explore lifestyle skills that you can cultivate to keep your mind sharp, and increase your quality of life. In this weekly series, we will discuss the protocol established by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation. During Beginner’s Brain Longevity Yoga, we will practice the hands-on application of accessible lifestyle interventions. Most importantly, we will explore how community and purpose create psycho-spiritual well-being. These practices are great for everyone. However, caregivers, care professionals, and parents of all ages are especially encouraged to check it out.
This is a Seated Practice that includes:
- Cognitive Stimulation
- Brain-Body Movement
- Kirtan Kriya Chanting
- Meditation
- Pranayama
