Guest Submission Guidelines
Now is the time! Reach out to those who need to hear your unique message and let us help you make an impact! AS you prepare, take the time that it takes to read the following requirements. The thing is, a lot more goes on in the process of blogging than meets the eye. Thus, the more informed that you are from the jump, the quicker we can get your message out into the world and circulating.
Basic Quality Requirements
We welcome contributions from yogis, students, and professionals from all walks of life. Submit entries between 1,000 – 2,000 words in length. We consider all offerings on a case-by-case basis. Clear, relatable language and author originality always shine.
Preferred Topics and Subjects
Our blog touches on a variety of topics that relate to the experiences of choosing a yogic path. Therefore, we promote both entertaining and educational information. Some articles are intended for newbies and others take it deeper for the old pros. It’s important to be clear on your individual intention. Then, write in support of that. Submission topics include, but are not limited to: living lessons, philosophies, how-to, and more. Prepare your submission with a specific main category in mind and review our editorial calendar for timely slants. Sometimes, timing really is everything. For example:

Publishing Rights
Approval status will be sent via email. We retain first rights to the content. This means that you CAN republish your original article on other sites. If you do, you must include “Originally published (date) on lightloveandlevity.com” with a link to the originally published article on our site.
Supporting Materials
All submissions require an author bio (2-5 sentences in length) and an author photograph. Both will be published.
We do not limit the number of times that guests can submit posts. However, we ask that you only submit one selection at a time.
Link Requirements and Policies
- You may include a maximum of 4 in-article links.
- Links must be to relevant, supportive sites and content.
- Please provide 1 link to your preferred personal page or website.
- Monetized Affiliate links within guest post content are strictly forbidden.
Image Requirements
You may send in an image with your guest submission content. If you choose to, image attribution IS required.
Republishing Policy
We only accept original content. Once you’ve submitted your post, we have the right to edit, publish, and promote the article. You will be given credit for your work, always.
Editorial Policies
Suggested edits are part of our quality assurance process.
Formatting
We accept submissions as basic text documents. Organize your post in a thoughtful layout for readers. Be aware that there is no need to include extensive formatting. We rework font, color, etc. at the time of publishing. You are welcome to use both short paragraphs, lists, and bullet points.
Compensation
Accepted submissions are not provided with monetary compensation at this time. However, we will feature your submission on our website and social media channels.
Responses
We accept submissions for review on an ongoing basis. Feedback may take up to 6 weeks.
