Wisdom: The Great Exchange

Perhaps wisdom really is THE great exchange of our experiences in this lifetime. It even teaches us how to love more deeply. If you’re on a journey of experiencing this life to its fullest, wisdom is key. Teachers are everywhere, and once you notice them and the roles that they play in your life embrace what they have to offer you. Certainly, we never take wisdom at face value, but lean in instead to how information impacts us. What resonates? Who resonates? After you’ve drawn your awareness to the incredible sources of wisdom in your life, remember:  The lesson is always more important than the teacher. THAT is the great exchange found in all the pearls of wisdom available in this lifetime: you received what was offered.

Wisdom Can Be Old, New, Borrowed or Blue

Just like the social traditions of old, wisdom comes in many shapes, sizes, and languages. Likewise, it is often the words of the people we least expect from which we find the most to gain. During this journey, we cross paths from across time, and across the globe. All wise sources have something pivotal to offer. Every time that we are given a new language and perspective for making sense of the world and our place in it, we gain both insight and strength. Therefore, we each gradually become experts at working with all the many parts of ourselves. As a result,  we become better able to tend, nurture and cultivate each layer of self that slowly strengthens and unifies the whole. The adventure of living is a beautiful process. Explore what strikes you. What you do with the messages is up to you.
